The weather here is so incredible, so I try to take the kids to a park, pool or the lake as often as I can. The other day Emma and I - a friend from the UK - took the kids out to find this lakefront pool that is supposed to be so great. When we got there we discovered that, yes there is a pool but the there is also beautiful beaches as far as you can see. It is so clean - like everything else in Switzerland- and the view of the Alps and France is amazing. Last weekend Brad and I loaded the kids into the stroller and went back to the beach. Madi LOVED it! She calls it the swimming pool. She is crazy about throwing rocks into the "swimming pool" but the sad thing is, she is not so great at throwing. In fact, 4 out of 5 rocks go behind her head. Each time she throws I get a little freaked thinking that she might knock herself out.... but she can kick a ball across the room (I have to give her props for that ;)
Madi is REALLY friendly, but she is beginning to kind of get it that most of the kids don't understand her language. However, this fact does not deter her from attempting to befriend every kid she sees -whether they pay any attention to her or not. If they throw her a bone she will not leave their side. If only we could all be so uninhibited!
